About the Project
Challenges & Solution
A Philanthropy Film for The Baldwin School
“100% Baldwin” is a cinematic celebration of the perseverance, creativity, and leadership that define Baldwin girls at every stage of their academic journey. Created in partnership with The Baldwin School as part of a philanthropy initiative, this film honors not just achievement—but the grit and growth that lead up to it.

Told through a series of intimate, student-narrated vignettes, the story follows five girls as they confront a personal or academic challenge at “80%”—then push past it, with heart, support, and determination, to reach 100%. Whether it’s the swimmer powering through a pre-dawn workout, the artist wrestling with her creative vision, or the senior bringing a real-world solution to life, each voice is authentically her own, giving shape to the drive and spirit that define a Baldwin education.

Filmed over the course of three intensive days on-location at The Baldwin School, the production required agility, care, and precision to bring this emotionally rich narrative to life.

DAY ONE: Pool & Theater
We hit the ground running—starting before sunrise on the humid pool deck to capture a determined swimmer in action. Navigating water-safe lighting, cold-to-humid air transitions, and a compressed schedule, the team stayed focused to preserve safety without compromising visual impact. In the afternoon, the atmosphere shifted as we moved into the theater, where Baldwin’s drama students thrived in front of the lens. Their natural charisma and responsiveness to direction made the space come alive.

DAY TWO: Lower School & Campus Moments
The second day began in Baldwin’s Lower School DREAM Lab, where younger students immersed themselves in creative problem-solving with real tools and real curiosity. We then shifted to a documentary-style approach—roaming the campus to collect candid moments of “student victories.” From a flash of insight at the whiteboard to a burst of laughter between friends, these unscripted scenes became emotional anchors that showed how learning at Baldwin lives between the lines.

DAY THREE: Upper & Middle School Academics & Arts
Our final day brought us into the core of Baldwin’s intellectual and creative ecosystem. In the Upper School, we filmed around a Harkness table—capturing the kind of spirited dialogue and collaborative inquiry that defines Baldwin’s commitment to critical thinking. Later, in the Middle School art room, a quiet triumph unfolded as a student completed a painting she’d been developing, radiating self-confidence and creative pride.

Throughout the day, we utilized a Dana Dolly to add dynamic, cinematic movement—gliding over conversation and creativity alike to invite viewers deeper into each scene.

A Story That Belongs to Baldwin
At its heart, “100% Baldwin” isn’t just a fundraising piece. It’s a portrait of what happens when students are challenged, believed in, and supported every step of the way. From classrooms to canvas, labs to locker rooms, this film reflects the values and voice of a school that nurtures whole-person growth.
We’re proud to have collaborated with The Baldwin School on this project—and grateful for the trust they placed in us to tell a story that truly belongs to them.
